Live Performance
Location: Rubendall Recital Hall - Weiss Center for the Arts - Dickinson College
The war in Troy is over - and the poet (Thomas Weaver) saw it all. Back from the front lines, he spins a tale of unquenchable rage, disputatious gods, and grieving widows. Based on Homer’s epic poem of the Trojan War, An Iliad takes the story of the rage of Achilles, a great fighter, and connects it to our modern world. A central theme of the play is that the story of the seductive power of rage repeats time and time again throughout history, all over the world, and through every one of us
The performance is suitable for high school students and adults.
